Video available of "How Should Java Developers Build Front-Ends for Web, Mobile & Desktop Today?" from JJUG CCC Spring 2021
The Japan Java User Group (JJUG) hosts the JJUG CCC conferences in spring and autumn. They are Japan’s largest Java community events. JJUG CCC Spring 2021 is an online conference. It took place on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
I was honored to give a session there on “How Should Java Developers Build Front-Ends for Web, Mobile & Desktop Today?”. I looked at various frameworks from a Java developer’s perspective and suggest which one to use in three common scenarios: new web application, native iOS/Android apps, and what to do for desktop applications.
The YouTube video and my three recommendations are available now:
See me talk at JAX London, I interviewed James Ward for InfoQ, Java patch updates, major releases for Quarkus, Micronaut, NetBeans, and VS Code, and developers decide the software architecture with the "Advice Process".
